Sonia Levy lives and works in Paris. By combining various fields of research, and crossing various practical experiences - from drawing to chemistry, from video to reading, from computer-generated images to documentary -, you can get results, or hypothesis, that provide a certain aesthetic, neither deterministic, neither run by references, but developing its own in-between forms.
By crossing the scientific fields and the artistic experiences, and being as aware as possible to the elements of the real - the animal world, nature, micro-structures, existing sounds...- something can happen, with a permeable horizon: experiences on it, out of the cultural and formal boundaries, may appear to be fruitful.
Pôle° is maybe far from the world or maybe after it... a grotto of ice, a scene for small strange phenomena. Mixing virtual images with macro photography and animation with real footage, Pôle° is listening to this environment, and trying to recreate, with its technical features, a mise en abyme of life and of its misteries.
You'll meet two wolves, both contemplating this place and stalking you into it. They pass through it, visit it, and maybe get part of it. A short movie about life, as the soul of everything, alive or not: a movie, or maybe a world, or maybe an idea, through which one can pass, as some pass through the looking-glass.
