Future and the Dream

Robert Croma is a visual artist based in London. For a number of years he was a photographer working in London for British newspapers and magazines. He has worked in film production and has written poetry, fiction and for the theatre. His recent work with digital video embraces aspects of memory and time and pursues the vagaries and revelations of dream and happenstance. It alludes to fictions and truths in the everyday and seeks out the poetry of possibility. Croma is interested in discovering the story and poetic narrative that resides elusively within all moments of experience. Everything is much more than it seems. The artist’s job is to reveal in new ways that which is hidden.

Future and the Dream is a rumination on time, memory, dream and presence. Everything is much more than it seems. The video was produced quickly over three days as part of the 24 Hours 24 Artists project, an international online 24 hour live event where each artist was given a one hour time slot to screen an original piece of work.
