Daniel P. Dwyer (Germany, 1984) lives and works in Düsseldorf where he is studying in the fields of 3d animation and drawing in the class of Marcel Odenbach at the Academy of Fine Arts Düsseldorf. The basis of Dwyer's work is defined by the amalgam of hand-drawn material and 3 dimensional computer-generated environments, interlocking 2d and 3d layers. Just like his technique, his films constitute a mixture of impressions that are dealing with several elements. The visual expression of men, architecture and nature may refer to Western and east-Asian (pop-)cultural influences in cinema, TV, or comic books.

Bound (2010) "Red" fails to forget the past, being haunted by nightmares of his imprisonment and humiliation by "General Blue". Therefore he seeks revenge to settle the score. A minimalistic 'Western' placed somewhere in east-Asia. The urban architecture is influenced by the cities San Pablo and Manila in the Philippines. SOUNDTRACK Christoph Splittstößer, Björn Donath

Transmission (2010) Technology provides mankind the capability of mastering nature. This video suffers from great interference that may cause phantom images.

Hybrid-Boy (2011) In the future: A soldier is sent out to eliminate a foreign humanoid species, which has been sighted within a forsaken urban jungle. After some time of wandering, hiding and seeking, the soldier gets his shot. The human-bird-like creature dies but maybe his soul wanders on. SOUNDTRACK Christoph Splittstößer
